I bought the tp-link hs110 on amazon in september 2017.
I think it is not possible to buy it on amazon anymore, but there are new products by tp-link available:
My tp-link hs110 has the version 2.0:
This screw is hidden under the sign. To open the case the screw has to be removed.
Watch out to not damage the long connectors, between the two boards, while opening the case. I used two flat screw drivers to open the case and it was not that easy, because it is sitting tight.
I wanted to use the tp-link hs110 ver. 2.0 to measure the power produced by a photovoltaic panel on the balcony.
But unfortunately the app shows wrong values. (28318 W) 😒
I have read, that the tp-link hs110 was successfully used by others to measure production by a photovoltaic panel.
I guess in newer Versions then 2017 (not ver. 2.0) it may be possible to measure not only consumption but production as well.
